Prerequisites
General entry requirements and successful completion of semester 1 courses (or equivalent knowledge). Semester 1 comprises: Nursing Science – Profession, Subject and Science, 15 credits; Human Physiology and Anatomy for Nurses, 7.5 credits; Applied physiology and anatomy in nursing, 3 credits; and, Psychology, Nursing 4.5 credits. Additionally, completion of semester 2 and 3 courses (or equivalent knowledge) is also required. Semester 2 comprises: Microbiology, Hospital Infection Control and Immunology for Nurses, 7.5 credits; Person-centered Care, Caring Approach and Communication, 7.5 credits; and, Practical Fundamentals In Nursing and Safety, 15 credits. Semester 3 comprises: Nursing in Health Problems, 15 credits; and, Pathophysiology and Pharmacology for Nurses, 15 credits.Level of Education: Undergraduate
