Certain research and post-graduate study at the School of Engineering is carried out in close collaboration with other institutions and is performed within the framework of joint research centres.
The School of Engineering hosts two centres:
Casting Innovation Centre (CIC) is a national initiative of world class research, development, and education for the Swedish truck, car and manufacturing industry within cast material, processes, and components. The partners in CIC is the School of Engineering and Swedish Foundry Association and Industry.
Casting Innovation Centre will constitute a well recognized organisation acting on an international market, which is strongly involved in research, development and education within the areas of product development, production/processes and materials for the casting/foundry industry.
The Centre of Energy Effective Lighting is a collaboration between the School of Engineering and Lund University. Ceebel has funding from Bertil and Britt Svenssons Foundation for Lighting Technology and the Swedish Energy Agency.
