Introduction to Information Security 3 Credits
Course Contents
The course aims at developing basic interdisciplinary knowledge within the area of information security. The course starts with laying a ground for the definition of information security through different explanations that has been presented in models and standards within the subject.The course includes the following elements:
- Common concepts, models and standards within information security
- Basic cryptography and presentation of different methods and standards, and their application areas
- Risk analysis, including the implementation of a risk analysis
- The research state-of-the-art within information security
