Upon completion of the course, the student should have the ability to:

- describe and reflect upon various theories and models in organisation and leadership
- describe central concepts in evidence-based practice
- apply basic legislation relevant to management with personnel responsibilities.
- explain factors on an individual, group, and system level that affect the results of improvement work.
Skills and abilities

- provide examples of and discuss manager and employee roles
- apply different tools for leadership and entrepreneurship
- search for, choose and critically evaluate relevant articles in order to provide evidence for interventions
- discuss the significance, content and function of leadership and identify various leadership styles.
- apply methods and interprofessional learning in improvement work.

Type of instruction
The course is implemented in the form of lectures, work in study group, seminars, project work in pairs and clinical placement.
The teaching is normally conducted in Swedish, but can occasionally be in English.
Prerequisites
General entry requirements and completion of the course Occupational therapy in profession and research, 30 credits, as well as 60 credits from the courses Activity and development throughout life, 30 credits, and Occupational Therapy for Activity Limitations in Disability and Disease, 30 credits, Occupational Therapy and Activity Limitations throughout Life, 9 credits, Clinical Placement, 6 credits, Occupational Therapy and Occupational Limitations when in Ill Health and Vulnerable Life Situations, 9 credits or the equivalent.

The course is graded A, B, C, D, E, FX or F.
