The internship allowed me to put theory and knowledge that was contributed within the program into practice. This industry is consistently expanding and evolving, which makes Jönköping University attractive and prepares you for the next step in your career.
I heard about Jönköping International Business School (JIBS) through a friend currently doing a master's degree in Germany. Then it became the place I dreamed of, and I worked hard to get acceptance. I have always been deeply interested in economics. It is fascinating how economic principles apply to many different areas of life, from business to politics to social issues. I also wanted to learn more about the latest tools and techniques for analyzing data. And that's where the data analysis aspect of my program came in. With the rise of big data and advanced analytics, there is a growing demand for individuals who can effectively use data to drive business and social outcomes. Combining economics and data analytics would be a great opportunity and open doors for me in business. Another thing that got me excited was that the program had a compulsory internship course. Thanks to this, I started my internship experience in Stockholm.
Internships give you theoretical and practical perspectives
I am currently an intern at a software company in Stockholm. The internship will last for ten months, and in my opinion, the data analysis part of the program significantly impacted my acceptance into this internship. The mandatory internship program also allowed me to carry out an internship while pursuing my master's degree. Despite moving to Stockholm, my teachers provided me with the option of distance education when appropriate.
The best thing about my program has been the internship course. It has allowed me to put the knowledge and skills that I've learned into practice. Applied Economics and Data Analysis give you the unique opportunity to combine your understanding of economics with data analysis and apply all this to economic questions. This gives you a deeper understanding of how economics works in practice by bridging the gap between economic theory and data analysis.
Create your own career path in a never-ending evolution
To achieve my career goals, I would like to continue developing my skills and knowledge in economics and data analysis. One of the things I love about this field is that it's constantly changing and evolving, and there's always something new to learn. That's why I'm eager to lifelong learning and stay updated with the latest trends and techniques. This program has given me a great foundation in economics and data analysis, and I'm eager to see where my skills and interests take me in the future.
