Swedish migration agency and JU work together
This week, Therese Hermansen Walker, manager of the Växjö branch of the Swedish Migration Agency visited Jönköping University. Some of her time was spent sitting in on a couple of interviews given to international students applying for programmes at Jönköping International Business School.

Since the introduction of tuition fees, Jönköping University has developed a working partnership with the Swedish Migration Agency to smooth the residency process for international students.
An important part of the Swedish Migration Agency’s decision-making process revolves around judging students’ intentions for studying here. The idea is that cooperation between the university and the agency will result in a higher quality of student applications, and that these can be processed in a shorter period of time.
“I am delighted that our relationship with the Swedish Migration Agency works so well, and above all that all parties involved, including our students, can benefit from this cooperation,” says Tomas Bengtsson, Director of International Recruitment at Jönköping University.
