The ceremony will take place in the University Library on 2 October.

The title of Alumni of the Year is awarded to alumni who have made outstanding contributions in their professional field or as individuals. This can include, for example, demonstrations of entrepreneurship and innovation, co-operation, community involvement or a significant cultural achievement.

Nominations are now open and everyone can nominate their favourite alumnus or alumna. There are certain criteria that are taken into account. Among other things, the alumni should have completed and graduated from a programme in one of JU's schools and should have an interest in being an ambassador for JU and a role model for current and future students.

“Nominating a candidate for JU's Alumni of the Year offers a great opportunity to recognise and celebrate the exceptional efforts and contributions of individuals. Nominations for Alumni of the Year can be made by students, alumni, staff, and by the public and business sectors," says Salem Seifeddine.
