Open lectures during the week before the Academic Ceremony
On 29 November, it is time for Jönköping University's (JU) Academic Ceremony. Thirty-four doctors and two honorary doctors will be conferred, and five professors will be inaugurated. In connection with the ceremony, lectures will be held with the honorary doctors, professors and recipient of the Pedagogical Prize.
The Academic Ceremony with the inauguration of full professors and conferment of PhDs takes place every 18 months at Jönköping University. The Academic Ceremony will take place on 29 November between 16:00 and 18:00 and the open lectures will be held on 27 and 28 November. Please note that the open lectures will not be broadcast digitally.
During the week leading up to the Academic Ceremony, the University Library will hold its traditional exhibition providing information about the ceremony, the doctoral candidates, the professors and the honorary doctors. It will also showcase some of JU's insignia, theses, and other publications by the professors and doctors.
Thursday 27 November at 10:00-15:00 in the Tveta Hall, Hc113 at HLK
Thursday's open lectures will be held by the professors who will be inaugurated at the Academic Ceremony and the recipient of the Pedagogical Prize.
Friday 28 November at 10:00-12:00 in the JMW Hall at the library
Friday's open lectures will be given by JU's newly appointed honorary doctors Peter Björkman and Joakim Paasikivi.
