This weekend, students from leading universities across Sweden gathered in Jönköping for the Swedish University Pitch Competition (SUPC) 2026, a two-day national event dedicated to best-in-class equity research and investment pitching. With nearly 100 spectators attending the final round, the competition highlighted the analytical depth and presentation skills of Sweden’s student finance societies.

Now in its second year, the Swedish University Pitch Competition (SUPC) was hosted by the JSA Investment Club (JIC) at Jönköping International Business School. Building on the inaugural event hosted by LINC at Lund University, this year’s competition introduced an expanded two-day format, beginning with a dedicated day of keynote sessions before the equity pitch competition on the second day. The event brought together eleven teams from seven universities, each representing their respective finance society with a well-prepared equity investment pitch.

Each team, consisting of two to three students, presented an equity investment case to a jury of industry professionals. Following an initial qualifying round, the top four teams advanced to the final, where they pitched live in front of both judges and an audience of around 100 students.

Strengthened cooperation

After a final round, the judging panel selected HHUS Investment Group from Umeå University as the winner of the SUPC 2026. The team, consisting of students Benjamin Bark and Elias Sundin, impressed the jury with their well-structured investment thesis, clear communication, and the ability to confidently address challenging follow-up questions.

“SUPC was a great experience, with like-minded, highly competent people and a very well-organized event,” said Elias Sundin, HHUS Investment Group following their victory.

“It was a pleasure to organize the SUPC. Seeing societies come together, deliver outstanding pitches and build lasting relationships was truly rewarding. This strengthened SUPC's role as a growing national meeting place for ambitious talents," said Tanja Tanaka, project manager for JSA Investment Club.

Overall, SUPC 2026 fostered collaboration between Swedish finance societies and gave students with a hands-on platform to develop equity research, pitching, and critical thinking skills. The event also servedas valuable preparation for future careers in finance and reinforced SUPC’s role as a growing national forum for ambitious finance talent.
