Top ranking for Jönköping International Business School in new survey
Jönköping International Business School at Jönköping University is highly ranked when students assess the quality of their education. In a survey conducted by the trade union Akavia, the business school’s programmes in business and economics stand out, ranking among the highest in terms of both lecture quality and overall impression.

In the survey, students from 17 Swedish higher education institutions were given the opportunity to evaluate the quality of their programmes based on factors such as overall satisfaction, lecture quality, and how well the education is connected to working life.
The results show that Jönköping International Business School is ranked as the second best in Sweden in terms of lecture quality within the category of programmes in business and economics. In the overall assessment, the school is placed third, after the Stockholm School of Economics and Linköping University.
“I see the result as a sign that our continuous development efforts are paying off, but it is especially gratifying that the contributions of our teachers in the classroom are being recognized, as their level of engagement is enormous,” says Anna Blombäck, Associate Dean of Education at Jönköping International Business School.

Strong connection between theory and practice
How this is reflected in practice is described by Mariam Matti, studying a Master of Science in Business and Economics at Jönköping International Business School, who particularly highlights the responsiveness of the lecturers.
“The lecturers truly take constructive feedback to heart and adapt their teaching when students suggest improvements,” says Mariam Matti.
She also emphasizes that the programme is broad and offers good opportunities to connect theory to real-world situations, including through guest lectures and links with the business community.
“We do not just study theory, we also gain insight into how it can be applied in practice and how the knowledge can be used in working life,” she says.
High ratings for Jönköping University as an institution
Student evaluations also show strong results for the University as a whole. When lecture quality is assessed regardless of field of study, Jönköping University ranks fourth in Sweden. In the overall ranking of Swedish higher education institutions, the University is placed eighth.

Akavia’s higher education barometer 2026 is based on 3,514 survey responses from students at different stages of their education and includes a total of 17 Swedish higher education institutions.
