Scholarships for excellent study results

On 3 June, ten JIBS students received the Excellence Scholarship, which will be used for studies abroad.

Since 2005, the scholarship is awarded twice a year by the foundation Jönköpings Borgarekassa och Bjuggska fonden to the students with the best study results. The students are ranked by grades and may choose from among the foremost of JIBS’ many partner universities.

Lennart Gabrielsson, the foundation’s chairman, talked briefly about the foundation, which was established in 1815 to support local craftsmen and their widows and children, and which today awards scholarships of SEK 25,000 each to about 100 students per year.

  • Josephine Holm, studies Marketing Management, travels to Nanyang Technological University, Singapore
  • Kristina Lundgren, studies Strategic Entrepreneurship, traveling to the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland
  • Johanna Sterner, studies Strategic Entrepreneurship, traveling to the University of St. Gallen, Switzerland
  • Annika Nordqvist, studies Civilekonom, traveling to the University of Central Florida, USA
  • Elisabeth Samuelsson, studies Marketing Management, traveling to the University of Central Florida, USA
  • Nathalie Ahlin, studies Civilekonom, traveling to the University of Oklahoma, USA
