JU student nominated for Global Swede 2018

Jönköping University has nominated Anup Banerjee, student at Jönköping International Business School, to the Global Swede award.

On May 8 the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs arranged the ceremony Global Swede for international students. The purpose of the ceremony is to recognize foreign students and their role as ambassadors of Sweden. To receive the award, the student must have good academic results, be prominent in innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship within his or her academic skills and be a good ambassador for the university and for Sweden. The award 2018 was handed out by the Minister for EU Affairs and Trade, Ann Linde.

Motivation:
Anup Banerjee comes from Bangladesh and is enrolled in the master program Managing in a Global Context at Jönköping International Business School and has maintained excellent study results while contributing to extracurricular activities. As chairperson for the Swedish Institute Network for Future Global Leaders in Jönköping, Anup has organized events for fellow students such as study trips, panel discussions and seminars. He promotes the SI network and the university on social media and is active in the Integration and Activity Committee and JIBS Magazine. Anup embodies our guiding principles to be international, entrepreneurial and responsible in all we do. We are proud to nominate him for Global Swede 2018.
