We may remove the following in accordance with JU's rules

  • Spam, advertising, or repeated comments that are not related to the topic/content
  • Obviously misleading or phishing comments

Moderating and blocking a user

Comments may be hidden or deleted if they violate the rules. Comment threads may be temporarily or permanently closed. In the event of a violation, temporary or permanent blocking may be used. All comments on JU's social media channels automatically become public records. Comments that violate Swedish law will be deleted and reported to the police if applicable. Comments that violate JU's rules may be deleted.

Blocking users

Blocking users is only used restrictively and for a limited period of time when the user repeatedly violates the comment rules despite warnings. In the event of repeated temporary blocks, the user may be permanently banned.

Guidelines for blocking:

  1. The user will be warned in a direct message for minor violations
  2. If the behaviour continues, the user will be blocked for 30 days by decision of the channel administrator, and the incident is documented.
  3. In the event of repeated temporary blocks, the user may be permanently suspended.

Appeals: Requests for review of blocks should be sent to press@ju.se.
