Film and slideshow from AI Day in Science Park Towers
See our film and slideshow from the AI day in Science Park Towers in Jönköping on 18 October. The theme for the day was "AI locally and for real" and focus was on matchmaking between companies, researchers and students.
There were many students and researchers from Jönköping University (JU) at the AI day, which was sold out.
"AI has many potential advantages for an organization and can, among other things, lead to more efficient and safer flows, which saves both time and money, says Anette Johansson, Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering (JTH) and vice profile leader for the research profile AFAIR at Jönköping University.
Collaborating with JU on AI in several ways
Patrik Jägenstedt, Director Advanced Development, Robotics & AI Lab, at Husqvarna Group says that they collaborate with JU on AI in several ways and that they are one of the companies within AFAIR.
"It is becoming more and more important for us to work with AI. Through AFAIR, we get access to AI data and can look at how we can connect AI between companies in different countries. We also have master's students from JU who do their thesis projects on AI with us, he says.
"A good environment to meet companies"
Evelina Olsson and Sara Malmer, who are studying the second year of the master's program Supply Chain Operations Management at JTH, were at the AI day to meet companies and find a thesis project. They thought it was a good event for that purpose and that many companies were interesting to them. They are often in Science Park Towers to study.
"It is a great environment for us to meet companies that match our education. AI is the future and it feels easy to connect what we have learned about AI at JTH to what we will work with in the future, says Evelina Olossn.
Professor Ulf Johansson and university lecturer Cecilia Sönströd from JTH also participated in the AI day, which was organized by Science Park Jönköping and Jönköping University.
