"Being one of the host universities has given us the opportunity to increase visibility and to profile Jönköping University as an internationally engaged and collaborative university. We are very pleased with the outcome of EAIE and proud to have been able to showcase Sweden. The conference has clearly demonstrated the value of collaboration - both internationally and together with the other Swedish universities - and how joint efforts strengthen our attractiveness and ability to create long-term relationships," says Nikolina Bergh, JU's project manager for EAIE Gothenburg.

Promoting knowledge exchange and collaboration

JU shared the hosting of the conference with the University of Gothenburg, Chalmers University of Technology, University of Borås, Halmstad University and University of Skövde. This year's theme was "Go-create" with a focus on collaboration, cooperation and co-creation. JU representatives held over 90 individual meetings with existing and potential partners at the conference with the aim of strengthening relationships and creating new opportunities for collaboration and also held two well-received sessions.

"The EAIE conference is a strategic platform that gives us as a higher education institution the opportunity to build and strengthen international relationships, follow current trends and policy developments in higher education and exchange experiences with colleagues from around the world. Through our participation, we gain valuable insights, inspiration and new collaborations that contribute to our development as a global and future-oriented university," says Nikolina Bergh.

"A great opportunity to be seen"

The Swedish Institute was responsible for the Swedish stand at the fair, where JU was one of 23 Swedish higher education institutions. The purpose of the agency's participation was to promote international collaborations and exchanges, which ultimately strengthen research, innovation and economic development.

"We are so happy that the host universities have pushed the issue of bringing EAIE to Sweden. It is a great opportunity for Sweden to be visible, showcase our wide range as a knowledge nation and create long-term relationships with partner universities," says Sofia Bugge, project manager from the Swedish Institute and Study in Sweden.

In conjunction with the EAIE conference, JU Partner Days & Campus Experience was held, with 140 universities from 40 countries visiting JU.
