JIBS alumnus new CEO of Ralph Lauren

Stefan Larsson, former student at Jönköping International Business School, will take over as CEO of the fashion empire Ralph Lauren.

Larsson worked for H&M for 15 years, rising to the position of Head of Global Sales, and was among other things responsible for the company’s expansion from 12 to 44 countries. For the past three years he has been the global president of Old Navy, the budget brand of Gap.

"Stefan was one of those students who always had something going on in parallel to his studies, like exploring a business idea in collaboration with fellow students. Looking back I see him as a student who in practice embodied the entrepreneurial spirit of JIBS", says Anna Blombäck, who studied together with Larsson and is now the Associate Dean for Education at JIBS.

Ralph Lauren will remain with the company as its executive chairman and chief creative officer.
