By integrating perspectives from the social and technical sciences and boosting challenge-based learning, EULiST fosters innovation to build a more sustainable and globally engaged Europe and trains future generations of students, researchers, scholars and life-long learners to develop solutions to the grand challenges of today and tomorrow, notably climate change, digital transition and social cohesion.

Objectives

1: EULiST Digital Campus and Knowledge Hub

  • Establishment of an inter-university EULiST-Campus & EULiST Virtual Library
  • Create material and digital (infra-)structures for innovative research, education and knowledge transfer
  • Borderless campus

2: Accessible and Attractive Services and Increased Borderless Mobility

  • Embedded mobility (short-term/long-term, physical/ virtual/hybrid)
  • New generation of European, socially responsible graduates who build bridges between disciplines, cultures, science and society

3: Sustainable EULiST Campuses

  • Climate action and sustainability at the core of all activities
  • SDGs 2030 as action framework

4: Innovative Educational Models and Tools

  • Flexible curricula
  • Research-guided formats and programmes
  • Joint course catalogue & joint degree

5: Open Science and Regional Innovation

  • Development of a trans-regional network as a cooperation and exchange -platform on research, innovation, politics and economy
  • Transdisciplinary teams, consisting of students, researchers, and regional (non-academic) actors develop solutions for societal challenges

6: More Diversity in STEM

  • Internationalisation and opening-up of the entire university: realizing internationality, diversity and inclusion
  • Promotion of diversity and gender equality in STEM on all levels (students, researchers and staff)
